Dancers

  • Dimensions:120*130
  • Year:2012

This is the first work done with wire in 2012.

The simple line of drawn bodies intersected with a thinner wire represents movement and dance of primal beauty. The pendent sculptures resemble spatial drawings that occupy the entire gallery space not just with their physical presence but also with their shadows cast by light on the gallery walls. An important part in the installation is played by the viewer who can get closer to the mobile sculptures, triggering both their movement and transformation of the shadows on the wall.
